Canadian singer, Celine Dion and her husband of 15 years, Renee Angelil, are expecting another child, as was announced on Monday.  This is going to be her second child that is conceived with the help of fertility doctors in New York.

Dr. Zev Rosenwaks, a NYC fertility expert who helped Celine Dion with her first pregnancy, has been vital to helping expand her family. He performed the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) procedure, which is the implantation of an embryo that had been frozen, or cryopreserved.

“There have been embryos that have been [frozen] for more than 10 years, and even more than 15 years, that have successfully thawed and resulted in a pregnancy,” explained Dr. Zev Rosenwaks.

According to Vitals.com, Dr. Zev Rosenwaks has been one of America’s Top Doctors for more than 10 years.  He is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.  He had completed his medical degree at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, while he finished his residency at Hillside Hospital and fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
