Last week, the FDA approved a new erectile dysfunction (ED) drug, Stendra, which is said to have a better chance at competing with Viagra than other ED drugs like Cialis and Levitra.
Manufactured by Vivus, Inc., Stendra differs from other drugs in its class because of its ability to work 30 to 60 minutes sooner.
Commenting on the drug’s fast-acting effectiveness, Dr. Irwin Goldstein, co-author of a paper on the effectiveness of Stendra, said:
“You can argue this is the first potential on-demand drug [for sex].”
