Adele received high praise for her album “21” at the Grammys last night in the form of a six for six awards sweep, including the coveted “Album of the Year” honor. But, it was her live performance of her hit song “Rolling in the Deep” that was the highpoint of the night – a performance that was made possible through the abilities of Dr. Steven Zeitels.
After being diagnosed last year with a benign polyp on her vocal chord, Adele faced the prospect of a necessary surgery that brought with it a risk of serious damage to her world-class voice.
Luckily for Adele and for her fans the world over, Dr. Zeitels and the Center for Laryngeal Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are at the forefront of laser technology for voice treatment. Dr. Zeitels explained,
“We have generally tried to advance the state-of-the-art of voice surgery over the last 15 years, developing instruments, laser technologies, and the ability to do things that simply weren’t done even 10 years ago.”
Dr. Zeitels’ Vitals profile lists him as a recipient of both Patients’ Choice and Compassionate Doctor awards for 2011. To learn more about what Dr. Zeitels’ patients have said about him, visit the reviews section of his profile.
