Dr. Janelle Park Gives Hope to a Brain and Lung Cancer Patient

Rosann Plautz’s tale of survival and ongoing recovery after being told that she has fatal cancer with little to no hope, is nothing short of a true medical miracle.  Rosann Plautz is an artist from Tampa and sells artwork on her website, Expressionsinart.com. Doctors told Rosann that “There are no alternatives; you are going to die” and  “Once it’s spread to the brain nothing else matters”, but she refused to believe and found many kindhearted doctors who were more then willing to do anything to help her.

One of those miracle doctors was a radiation oncologist from Brandon, Florida by the name of Dr. Janelle Park. Dr. Park is a member of the Florida Radiation Oncology Group and is highly recommended by her patients according to Vitals.com. Dr. Park performed 33 lung radiation treatments at no cost when the insurance company refused to pay claiming that the treatment wasn’t warranted for her condition.

“I’m not going to let insurance companies tell me what’s best for my patients,” Dr. Park explained.

Dr. Janelle Park remarked about Rosann, “Mrs. Plautz is a true trooper.  She came to the clinic for her initial consultation, and was determined and ready to do whatever she needed to do.  We discussed the use of CyberKnife versus whole brain radiation therapy upfront; we opted to go with whole brain radiation treatments first, and re-evaluate after completion of the whole brain radiation for potential CyberKnife boost to any residual disease.”

Rosann and her husband wrote about her remarkable recovery with all the hereoes and villians in a book titled, Fighting Back, which offers their formula for victory over an “incurable” disease: Stage 4 lung cancer. Rosann is determined to fight back against the disease that continues to linger and has cost her to lose vision in both eyes.
