Dr. Jack Kevorkian AKA Dr. Death Dies at 83

At the age of 83, Dr. Jack Kevorkian, passed away from pulmonary thrombosis in William Beaumont Hospital.

Dr. Death, as he was also referred to, performed over 130 assisted suicides using his “Mercy Machine.” Convicted of second degree murder, he served eight years out of a 10- to 25-year sentence.

Most recently, he was portrayed in an HBO movie “You Don’t Know Jack” by Al Pacino, who said during a speech:

It was a pleasure to “try to portray someone as brilliant and interesting and unique” as Kevorkian and a “pleasure to know him.”
