Representative Gabrielle Giffords is a true fighter in her recovery after the gunshot wound to the head and she’s doing it gracefully.
Dr. Dong H. Kim has dubbed her “Georgeous Gabby” after her 3.5 hour cranioplasty procedure to repair her skull. A large piece of the skull had to be removed in order to alleviate the swelling, which was covered by a plastic mold.
“I started calling her gorgeous Gabby today,” Kim said at a hospital news conference. “She hasn’t looked in the mirror yet, but as soon as she does she’ll be very pleased.”
According to Vitals.com, Dr. Dong H. Kim is a board-certified Neurosurgeon. He completed his medical degree at the top five rated University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine in 1990. He has consistently near perfect patient ratings and only a twenty minute wait-time to see him.
