Oakland Athletics closer Andrew Bailey left a spring training game Monday against the Indians with elbow discomfort in his pitching arm after facing only three batters.
Andrew Bailey is to meet today with the renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama.
According to Vitals.com, Dr. James Andrews is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He completed his medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine, New Orleans, in 1963. Dr. Andrews could be considered an MVP himself, since the future success of a team lies in the health of it’s players.
