Dr. Nan Hayworth (nanhayworth.wp)

In an effort by Doctors to stamp out Obamacare, many medical organizations are rallying behind Republican Doctors. Highly regarded medical organizations like the American College of Surgeons Professional Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Congress of OB-GYNs are putting their dollars to work to help promote Republican candidates in the medical profession.

Republican Dr. Nan Hayworth is representing the 19th Congressional District in Westchester. Dr. Hayworth has 21 years of experience as an Ophthalmologist.

Her patients gave her excellent reviews on Vitals.com.

Had several years of visits with Dr. Hayworth before she took a sabbatical. She was a concerned, tireless, knowledgeable physician. Unfortunately I do not think she has returned to practice – yet.

Republican Dr. Daniel Benishek is running for U.S. Congress in Michigan’s 1st District. Dr. Benishek has served as a general surgeon in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula since 1983

On his website, Dr. Benishek writes:

I am committed to addressing the following issues, guided by my “4R’s” pledge — to read legislation before voting on it, reduce taxes and the size of government, repeal ObamaCare, and reform government to bring it back in line with the Constitution. As a surgeon, I have 30 years experience dealing with and solving serious problems. I do not have all the answers, but I will enthusiastically apply my skills and work to find them. Together, we can return our government to the people.

Green-Rainbow candidate Dr. Jill Stein is running for Governor of Massachusetts. Dr Jill Stein has 27 years of experience as internist in Lexington.

Dr. Stein is the co-author of two widely-praised reports,  In Harm’s Way: Toxic Threats to Child Development, published in 2000, and Environmental Threats to Healthy Aging, published in 2009.  Dr. Stein co-founded the Massachusetts Coalition for Healthy Communities, a non-profit organization that addresses a variety of issues that are important to the health and well-being of Massachusetts communities, including health care, local green economies, and grassroots democracy.

Dr. Zaneb Beams is a Democratic candidate running for the Howard County Council (Maryland) – District 5. Dr. beams is a pediatrician with 3 years experience in Columbia, MD. She has a picture of her hugging Obama on her web site.

The profile on her website reads as follows:

Dr. Beams works in the family business with her mother, Dr. Atiya Khan.  Their pediatrics practice has provided a medical home for thousands of Howard County’s children for over two decades. Because of her work as a pediatrician, Dr. Beams sees firsthand how flaws in our medical system can get in the way of families’ efforts to stay healthy.   By working with the County Council, she believes she can be even more effective in helping to solve problems for her patients in the office as well as for the greater community.

Dr. Larry Bucshon is a Republican candidate in Indiana’s Eighth Congressional District. He is a Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgeron serving in Evansville, IN.

Dr. Joe Heck is a Republican candidate for Congress serving Southern Nevada. He has passionately served the residents of Nevada as a physician, Army Reservist, and community volunteer. Dr. Heck specializes in Emergency Medicine in Las Vegas.
