Dr. Jon LaPook’s Early Detection of Dr. Oz’s Cancer Saves His Life

Dr. Jon LaPook & Dr. Mehmet Oz (i.com.com)

Dr. Mehmet Oz received some shocking news from his gastroenterologist, Dr. Jon LaPook.  He was told that results from the routine colonoscopy showed a precancerous polyp.  If  it was left undetected and then untreated, it would have certainly resulted in colon cancer.

“I was shocked!” said Dr. Mehmet Oz. “If even I, someone who has no risk factors or family history, and who eats healthy and exercises, could have an adenomatous polyp, it could happen to anyone.” (people.com)

Dr. Oz shared the footage of the colonoscopy on his daytime show and explained the importance of early detection which saved his life.

“Early detection is the best way to catch these before they turn into colon cancer,” he says. “I’m damn lucky I got checked out… I bet this saved my life.” (people.com)

According to Vitals.com, Dr. Jon LaPook is a board-certified Gastroenterologist in New York City with a perfect patient rating of 4 stars and an average waiting time of 25 minutes. He completed his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1980.

Dr.Lapook and Dr.OZ have done a great job of informing Public about the risk of ignoring EARLY DETECTION.

People seem to take Breast Cancer more seriously, but Colon Cancer screening is ignored by 45%–resulting in 50,000 unnecessary deaths-according to Dr.Tarun Mullick. This is because Breast Cancer activisits have one a good job of developing ANNUAL EVENTS–like Walkathon or Race or some other community event.

Dr.Mullick is helping “GET YOUR REAR IN GEAR “organize annual events–but the campaign is still limited to big cities.Smaller cities do not have comparable events like BREAST CANCER has.

oh God, he didn't have a precancerous growth. He had ONE adenoma which “sometimes” turns cancerous. I had one adenoma and the doctor called it benign. There wasn't this big fear thing that doctor OZ has created.
