Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Terrence Lakin is in the process of being court martialed for disobeying deployment orders that ultimately come from President Obama, through the chain of command.
In his 18th year of active duty for the United States Army, and only 2 years away from retirement, Dr. Terry Lakin posted a YouTube video explaining why he is “inviting his own court martial.”
He is choosing to disobey what he calls “illegal orders” to deploy to Afghanistan, because they come from President Obama, whose claim to natural born citizenship of US, as he believes, is still questionable.
Hawaii Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino issued statements last year and in October 2008 saying that she’s seen vital records that prove Obama is a natural-born U.S. citizen.
Dr. Terrence Lakin is double board certified in Family and Preventive Medicine. He completed his medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine in 1993.
Everyone appears to agree that President Obama’s original birth certificate (not the short-form Certificate of Live Birth that has been produced) would end the controversy and the lawsuits and quiet the so-called “birthers” once and for all.

Yes, you seem to be missing a great deal. The Certification of Live Birth is the only form of Birth Certificate currently issued in Hawaii, and it is full legal proof of when and where Obama was born.
We don’t normally require people to keep proving things they’ve already proved. If you think an exception should be made in Obama’s case, go to court and explain why.
Of course, if you expect your case to go any better than the 60+ cases that have fallen on their face so far, I imagine you’ll be disappointed.
It’s Strawman argument. Obama has not released his orginal BC at great legal cost. The big question is why? The Original Long-Form BC is absolutely critical because it will show the name of hospital Obama was born at. Why is this significant? Because the laws of 1961 were very loose, lax and liberal which pretty much allowed anyone to register someone as being born in Hawaii when they weren’t. Dr. Fukino in Hawaii may be to state Obama was born in Hawaii but without any coorborating evidence, her statement is not credible. It is believed that Obama’s family falsely registered his birth in Hawaii to get him US Citizenship. Since Obama’s father was a Kenyan citizen, if he was indeed born in Kenya, he would not have gotten automatic US citizenship for this reason. Why would have family had done this….To get Obama the benefits of being a US citizen without having to go throught lengthy and costly proceedings.

COLBs are “official government records documenting an individual’s birth,” according to the State of Hawaii, and the fact that you don’t find it credible doesn’t mean squat — the Full Faith and Credit clause of the Constitution has much more weight than your opinion.

The simpleton Birthers along with the Tea baggers are the same whiners that were crying when the McCain/Bailin ticket lost. Now that their yelling and screaming failed to stop the health care debate and the bill from passing they are crying again. Let’s face it the Republicans had eight years to deal with health care, immigration, climate change and financial oversight and governance and they failed. If those purposes don’t include hiring lawyers to defend officers being court-martialed for disobeying orders, the contributions are not tax deductible, and the organization could be in big trouble.

Re the Original Birth Certificate.
Obama has not released it because he does not have a copy. He has only what Hawaii sent him, the new official birth certificate of the state of Hawaii, the Certification of Live Birth. That is what Hawaii sent Obama in 2007, and that is what it sends everyone. As many other states do, Hawaii sends out only the short-form birth certificate, the Certification. But it is the official birth certificate, accepted as proof of birth in the USA by the US State Department and the US military branches, and the facts on it were twice confirmed by the officials in Hawaii.
Obama’s mother did not even have a passport in 1961, so how could she have given birth in Kenya? Obama’s Kenyan grandmother did not say that he was born in Kenya. She said that he was born in HAWAII.

But Hawaii does not send it out anymore. The short-form birth certificate is the official birth certificate of Hawaii, and it is the only one that Hawaii currently issues. It seems that sum just don’t understand what a “straw man argument” is. The entire arguments that Lieutenant Colonel Terrance Lakin believes is a “straw man argument.” If he refused to deploy because he disagreed with his orders, I would have great respect for him. Birthers have a strange belief that people must produce their original birth certificate when required to prove their identity. This is false as American citizens by birth must only produced a certificated copy of their original birth certificate when a birth certificate is required or presented. It is a state government agency, or federal government agency that is responsible for maintaining birth records who have the original birth certificates. The reasons for this are quite obvious.
All the arguments that are part of a misinformation campaign are “strawman arguments.” A strawman argument is a false argument that is used to attack instead of the facts. American citizenship is granted at birth when a person is born under US federal or state jurisdiction. The proof of this fact is the possession of a birth certificate on oneself, by a state, or by the federal government.
I am one person who has the utter most confidence in the policies and procedures that are used by every state government and the federal government to determine who gets citizenship by birth. This obviously includes maintaining those records, and protecting them from fraud.
What I would like to know is “WHY” Obama had to RE order a copy of his birth certificate? Was it so that he would GET A COLB, since that is all they send out anymore? How many Americans, DON’T have their original birth certificate, on hand?
