Shannon Tweed, lifetime partner of Gene Simmons of KISS, had recently discovered that she may have breast cancer. After appearing on The Doctors and admitting to the fact that she sensed some of the symptoms, Shannon consulted her doctor, Dr. Kristi Funk.
Actress and model, Shannon lived a life in front of the camera, so this was nothing new to share such shaky news with the audience of their hit reality show “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” on A&E.
Gene Simmons decided to target men and husbands overall, to encourage them about Breast Cancer Awareness. It’s not only something women experience, it affects the entire family.
Some of the symtoms that women should be aware of (mayoclinic.com):
A breast lump or thickening that feels different from the surrounding tissue
Bloody discharge from the nipple
Change in the size or shape of a breast
Changes to the skin over the breast, such as dimpling
Inverted nipple
Peeling or flaking of the nipple skin
Redness or pitting of the skin over your breast, like the skin of an orange
According to Vitals.com, Dr. Kristi Funk is a board-certified surgical breast specialist and founder of the Pink Lotus Breast Center in Beverly Hills, CA. She is a Patients’ Choice Award winner, where she has consistently received near perfect scores as voted by patients. Dr. Kristi Funk also has a 5-minute waiting time in her office.

There is some really good information on this site about Shannon Tweed and how this affects her life partner Gene Simmons. I am constantly getting on my husband to get himself checked out since he is past 40 but he does not pay attention even though we had a scare with my mom being diagnosed with breast cancer (6th year in remission.) In fact, I have been inspired by my mom's courage and created a blog of my own dedicated to breast cancer. Please share it with the world.
This is so interested! Where can I find more like this?
