Sara Rose Dillard (oregonlive.com)
Here we go again. Four years ago, Sara Rose Dillard pleaded guilty to poisoning the baby bottle of her 11 month old baby boy with a mix of morphine. She got off with five years probation and during the probation she tried to poison hew newborn baby girl with morphine. This time the judge gave her 7.5 years in the slammer.
Dejavu, the reason she said poisoned her son was because she was upset at the father not giving enough attention to the boy and now again with the baby girl, she claims she was upset that the baby’s father, cardiologist Wallace Lai, hadn’t come to the hospital. They had had an affair, and Washington County authorities later identified him as the baby’s father.
According to Vitals.com, Dr. Wallace Lai, M.D. Dr. Lai obtained his medical degree from the University of Kentucky and completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at OHSU. He is a board-certified electrophysiologist. He has been in practice mostly in the Salem area since 2000.
Dr. Lai has two sanctions from the state of Orgeon. Details of the sanctions can be found on Vitals.com.
Dr. Wallace Lai, has a favorable rating with one patient commenting: Dr. Lai is by far the best cardio-doc I have found! He spends all the time needed with me and my family, making sure that no question is left un-asked or un-answered.He is a top notch physician and full heartily get gets me vote of approval.

Why on God’s green earth have you not taken your beautiful child out of foster care, Dr. Lai? You have your license back, Sarah has been sent to jail for her actions, and yet Ellie is still a ward of the state, with constant diaper rashes and horrible upper respiratory infections. Every day that goes by she is losing out on bonding with YOU, her father. STEP UP. Take your baby home and let’s all move on!!!!!!!!!!
What do you know about constant diaper rashes and upper respitory infections. Are you caring for her? I happen to know the foster family and she is a happy, healthy and beautiful. Although I agree she should be with her dad-only speak of what you know!
That is right! Too many people jumping to conclusions about things they don’t know. We all know dad isn’t doing what he needs to but let’s not act as though she is not being taken care of. Bashing those that step up to the plate or insinuating the baby has had lots of rashes or coughs is rediculous. YOu should be ashamed of yourself!
Cant we all get along. the best possible scenario for the baby is to be separated from the situation. Though the previous father should keep in touch with the new foster parents so that the two kids have contact.
I feel sorry for the baby. I guess both parents are suspects since the father is doesn't show.
