Vitals Spotlight - We Give the Doctor an Exam

What is the highly coveted Patients’ Choice Award? It’s an honor that reflects the difference a doctor made in people’s lives through the exceptionally high praise granted to a doctor by patients.

Every month, more than 40,000 patients across the U.S. provide online feedback about their experiences with their doctors. They rate various components such as bedside manner, doctor-patient face time, degree of follow-up, courtesy of office staff, and overall opinions. While physicians generally receive positive reviews from their patients, only a select few receive uniformly rave reviews across the board. Of those that receive rave reviews, only the few physicians with near perfect scores have been voted by their patients for this honor.

This notation of a Patients’ Choice physician will be prominently displayed in the doctor profile on a broad collection of web sites, including Vitals.com, Health.com, and a variety of Managed Care sites. These web sites are viewed by more than 150,000 people on a daily basis. Many times, a doctor, local newspaper, or a healthcare facility proudly announces that their phyician recieved this prestigious award.

Patients’ Choice Award Winner - Dr. Dave E. David in Dedham, MA

ExpertClick.com - Boston area gynecologist and recipient of the 2008 Patient’s Choice Award, Dr. Dave David disagrees with the new recommendations which were released today, increasing the age of routine mammogram screening to age 50, from the previous recommendation of 40.
