Dr. Cleveland Enmon is an emergency room physician at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton . Dr. Enmon is accused of abandoning attempts to resuscitate a patient from cardiac arrest to instead pocket the dead man’s valuable Rolex wristwatch. The suit, filed by the adult children of Jerry Keith Kubena, Sr., alleges that Dr. Cleveland James Enmon on June 1 “formed the intent” to swipe the Rolex from Kubena’s wrist while treating the man at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton.

The nursing staff assisting Enmon soon noticed that Kubena’s flashy timepiece was missing; “Where is the wristwatch?” the suit quotes one as uttering. Two more nurses allegedly noticed a wristwatch-shaped bulge in the doctor’s pocket. Security was called to investigate the disappearance. Defying security’s orders, the lawsuit notes Enmon walked out of the operating room and into the parking lot, a move caught on hospital security cameras. A nurse claims she saw Enmon toss a small object into the grass and she subsequently led security personnel to that exact area and recovered the watch.

Most likely an affirmative action “doctor”. With the amount of pressure, placed on institutes of higher learning, to graduate blacks and Hispanics it should be no surprise that inferior candidates get into positions they have no business being in. 100% certain race has nothing to do with matriculation from medical school–so all these racist comments are moot (btw, where did YOU ALL go to medical school?). as is, this dr. was also arrested for DUI while in his residency, so has previously demonstrated poor judgment. i don’t live in stockton, but if i did i’d avoid this hospital, as their hiring decisions should now be questioned.

the racist comments posted on here is not surprising. let justice take its course no matter the color of the alleged perpetrator. as far as affirmative action goes, it is definitely quite relevant especially given what’s being said here. i expect that some in the annals of academia share the same views of the sick in mind who is part of this forum. obviously, dr. enmon’s intellect forged him through the books, NOT AFFIRMATIVE ACTION. all AA did was get him accepted to a school (if white) that would have otherwise not accepted him. what dr. enmon allegedly committed went against ethics/morals but was not representative of his aptitude in grasping the medical world. i see that there are still many people who cannot seem to get over the fact that blacks can achieve anything that non-blacks achieve. and i mean anything!!! why is that so astonishing when we have power in our hue? our hue alone makes us enviable!!! is that why some on here launched a tirade against the color of dr. enmon’s skin?

This is ridiculous, the comments about how he got into medical school because he is black. My first instinct when hearing this article was, I hope he is not black. When I saw that he was my heart fell. Because we still live in a racist society, we blacks have to conduct ourselves in an acceptable manner as for every sin we commit, its because of our race, when white people are capable of some of the same misdeeds
I do agree that he should be punished. he knew better. He let down his profession, race, patient and hospital. However, saying that he only get in because of AA is wrong. We blacks are just as smart and capable. This Dr. exercised poor judgment and should be dealt with as such.

I know Dr. Enmon personally. We trained together and I know him to be a professional and a damned good doctor. To say that he let a man die to steal a watch is beyond belief! First and foremost, this unfortunate situation is regarding a physician that is “allegedly” accused of abandoning his patient to steal his Rolex watch. While this is extremely disheartening- let’s please keep in mind that these are mere allegations. The problem that I have with this blog and others out there, is that why have this incident turned into a color war? Would there be any interest in this case had this been a black doctor that “stole” from his black patient? Why does it have to be white against black instead of a physician against his patient?? See, this is the biggest problem in America. Racism has NOT ended in this country at all. Interestingly enough many of you claim not to be racist but racism is seeping through your pores and orfices!!! There is no difference between this case and OJ, or Amadou Diallo, or even Sean Bell. The act that this doctor has done is wrong. And I make no excuses for other people’s wrong doings. He will have to suffer the consequences along with the guilt for the rest of his life. Sad story but at least justice will be served.
