Al Pacino has had quite the history of leading roles, transforming into different characters, yet always remaining recognizable. In this new role, although aged and perfected, he’s donned an unrecognizable façade yet a striking resemblance to Dr. Jack Kevorkian for HBO’s controversial biopic “You Don’t Know Jack.”
The 1990s have brought us the Clinton years, dot com era, flannel shirts and introduced us to a euthanasia physician, Dr. Jack Kevorkian. Known as Dr. Death, the Michigan doctor assisted in more than 150 cases of suicide with the help of his “Mercy Machine.”
After serving 8 years in jail for a second-degree murder, Dr. Kavorkian had been released in 2007 for good behavior and has been touring the country making public appearances. Only now, HBO has partnered with Barry Levinson to release a film following his life as he creates his infamous “Mercy Machine,” building a media frenzy advocating his assisted suicides as part of legitimate “medical services.”
Originally targeted for Ben Kingsley, the role of Dr. Kavorkian was ultimately handed to Al Pacino, who will undoubtedly use his drama skills to lure your full attention if not believe in every word he says, as did Dr. Kavorkian’s followers. The film will also star Susan Sarandon and John Goodman.

Isn’t Al Pacino on the left and Doctor Kevorkian on the right. You state Pacino on the right and Kevorkian on the left.
